Surah Taha Wazifa

"Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi ilmika wa astaqdiruka biqudratika wa as'aluka min fadlika al-'azim. Fa innaka taqdiru wa la aqdiru wa ta'lamu wa la a'lamu wa anta 'allamu l-ghuyub. Allahumma in kunta ta'lamu anna hadha al-amra khayrun li fi dini wa ma'ashi wa 'aqibati amri (or 'ajili amri wa'ajilihi) faqdurhu li wa yassirhu li thumma barik li fihi. Wa in kunta ta'lamu anna hadha al-amra sharrun li fi dini wa ma'ashi wa 'aqibati amri (or fi'ajili amri wa ajilihi) fasrifhu anni wasrifni'anhu waqdur liyal-khayra haythu kana thumma ardini bihi.


Translation: "O Allah, I seek guidance from Your knowledge, and power from Your might. I ask You for Your great favour, for You are capable and I am not. You know everything while I do not, and You have knowledge of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (mention your intention or proposal) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my future, then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless me in it. But if You know that this matter is not good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my future, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me what is good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.”

1.         After reciting the dua, mention the specific matter or person you are seeking guidance about, whether it is a specific proposal or a general decision about marriage.

2.         It is recommended to continue seeking guidance from Allah through istikhara for a period of seven days. During this time, observe any signs, feelings, dreams, or circumstances that may indicate Allah's guidance.
